Sales Trainer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strategic alignment of the training department with business goals with a focus on wholesale sales training
  • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Identify training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments
  • Create, develop and facilitate training materials
  • Partner with Wholesale Sales Leadership & Training Department to develop a sales training curriculum in both print and virtual form
  • Partner with Wholesale Sales Leadership & Training Department to develop a Mortgage 101-501 curriculum to bring non-mortgage hires into Deephaven through both print and virtual offerings
  • Optimize training processes for efficiency and impact
  • Select and manage resources, including working with internal employees to develop and deliver training
  • Any and all other duties as requested by management
  • Position will report directly to the VP of Customer Service/Training but will have day to day ties and likely work in the same office as the SVP of Wholesale Sales with a very direct connection to the SVP of Wholesale Sales

Required Skills, Experience and Ability:

  • Adopt the Deephaven culture that contributes to an environment of teamwork and promotes a positive company image to external customers
  • Comply with Deephaven policies and procedures
  • Successful background in a phone-based sales environment
  • 3+ years of mortgage experience
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Organized, analytical, detail oriented, self-motivated
  • Knowledge of current regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Present self in a professional manner and can interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel
  • College degree or comparable work experience (Significant work experience is a plus and will be heavily weighted in the hiring process)
  • Ability to complete responsibilities effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
  • Manage daily tasks to ensure business needs are consistently met
