Account Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review files prior to submission to underwriting for income, collateral, and asset documentation required for submitting a complete, accurate file for a final underwriting decision
  • Order title work, VOEs, credit supplements, tax transcripts, and any other needed credit documentation
  • Calculate income and update the LOS accurately
  • Work closely with underwriting and closing to clear loan conditions throughout the process
  • Ensure accurate and timely pipeline management within established service level agreements to meet closing dates
  • Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state laws and agency disclosure guidelines regarding residential mortgage origination. These include, but are not limited to, TILA, REG Z, MDIA, RESPA, TRID, ECOA, FACTA, FCRA, BSA/AML, and HMDA.
  • Work with vendors and various company departments to streamline processes, quality, and risk assessment
  • Partner with internal staff (i.e., Underwriter, Processor, Closer, Operations Management, etc.) of external parties and third party-vendors throughout the review process to ensuring efficient, quality closings
  • Any and all other duties as requested by management

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel
  • College degree or comparable work experience
  • 4 + years of mortgage industry experience
  • Ability to complete responsibilities effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
  • Manage daily tasks to ensure business needs are consistently met.
