Matthew Nichols

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Nichols is the CEO and Founder of Deephaven Mortgage. Prior to Deephaven, Matt was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he ran the Residential Mortgage Loan Business. During his twelve years at Goldman, Matt built and ran multiple non-agency loan acquisition, origination, servicing, and securitization businesses. He holds a B.A. in Biochemistry from Amherst College.

Robin Allcock

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

Ms. Allcock is the COO of Deephaven Mortgage. Prior to Deephaven, Robin held many C-level roles in the mortgage industry. Most recently, she was SVP, Retail Production Operations Manager at BB&T. Prior to BB&T, she was President and COO at EquiFirst Corporation. Robin also spent 14 years at HSBC Mortgage Services in a senior management capacity in the retail, wholesale and credit card divisions. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from George Washington University and a B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Michael Brenning

CHIEF PRODUCTION OFFICER

Mr. Brenning is the Chief Production Officer of Deephaven Mortgage where he oversees sales and client development. Prior to Deephaven, Mike held many senior leadership roles in correspondent & wholesale sales, capital markets, and marketing. Most recently, he was the VP of Correspondent/Wholesale & Strategic Partnerships at Quicken Loans. Prior to Quicken Loans, Mike was on the Executive Team at HSBC Mortgage Services as SVP of National Sales & Marketing. Mike also spent seven years at GMAC-RFC in both a sales and capital markets capacity. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Montreat College and a B.A. from Hamline University where he studied economics.

F.M. “Dank” Pinckney

General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Pinckney is the General Counsel of Deephaven Mortgage. Prior to Deephaven, he served as EVP for HSBC Holdings, PLC as head of general compliance and counterparty risk and part of the executive management team that oversaw all aspects of managing the HSBC and third-party owned mortgage portfolios. He was formerly a partner in the national law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman, specializing in mortgage, consumer finance, and counterparty risk. Dank is a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina and received his J.D. from University of South Carolina and an undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University.

Mike Witt

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Witt is the CFO of Deephaven Mortgage. Prior to Deephaven, Mike was CFO at Boston National Title where he helped them grow from a regional provider into one of the nation’s largest, independent title services companies. Mike’s extensive mortgage leadership experience includes division CFO roles at HSBC and First Union, and senior finance or credit risk roles at HSBC, Bank of America, First Union, and NationsBank. He holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Matt Davlin

Vice President

Mr. Davlin is Head of Capital Markets at Deephaven Mortgage. Prior to joining Deephaven, Matt was a Vice President at Barclays Capital where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing asset-backed financing transactions secured by residential mortgage assets. Before Barclays, he held positions in Mortgage Finance at Wells Fargo Securities and Secondary Marketing at SunTrust Mortgage. He holds an M.E. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and B.S. in Quantitative Finance and Mathematics from James Madison University.

Lewis Semones

Independent Director

Mr. Semones serves on Deephaven Mortgage’s Board of Directors. Mr. Semones is a retired executive who serves on Boards, provides consulting services to financial institutions, and is an active investor. Prior to retirement, Mr. Semones served as EVP for Lender Processing Services, CEO of Avelo Mortgage (a Goldman Sachs company involved in the acquisition, origination, and servicing oversight of residential mortgage loans) and founded two financial services companies. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Semones was Co-President of Wachovia Securities, the successor to Interstate Johnson Lane where he served in various executive roles from 1990 to 1999.
Mr. Semones received his B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Lenoir-Rhyne University and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
