CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Observer recently named Non-QM lender Deephaven as the number-one Small Company Workplace in Charlotte, and also recognized the firm’s exceptional commitment to New Ideas.
The newspaper honored Deephaven through its seventh annual Top Workplaces awards, which were more competitive than ever this year. The initiative was part of a national program offered with Energage.
“It’s an absolute privilege to build a culture that inspires our fantastic people,” said John Keratsis, President and CEO, Deephaven. “This is an environment of transparency and camaraderie, where everyone has a voice in the future of non-agency mortgage lending. I am thrilled that at a time when people are fleeing other workplaces, they love being at Deephaven.”
This year, The Charlotte Observer’s competition attracted the largest number of nominations and the greatest level of participation in its history. The winners in the small (35-149 employees), mid-size and large categories were ranked according to national standards, based on the cumulative responses of 23 million workers representing 70,000 organizations and 450 million data points.
Deephaven, whose team also includes professionals from other states, stood out by receiving high marks in 12 separate categories—from “trusted leader” and “strong values,” to “open minded,” “meaningful work,” and innovation.
